If we want to live from the soul, from a place of pure awareness – be at peace inside, unaffected by the world around us, we need to stop moving into stress-mode.
Stress arises in the mind, from beliefs, thoughts, emotions and the interplay between them. It´s also triggered by circumstances in the world around us.
No matter what the trigger, stress will always take us away from inner peace to a state where we are wound up, hurried, agitated, scared.
When we´re stressed, it´s hard to know what decisions to make because stress overrides our natural ability `to see´ clearly, to ´know` what to do. Also, it exhausts us mentally, and physically.
Here are some things you can do to eliminate stress from your life:
Commit yourself to attaining lasting peace, and to eliminating stress.
To do this work, seek inner peace at all times.
When you get stressed, try to identify the factors that trigger your stress. Also, see if you can discover the underlying feeling associated with it.
What are you feeling? What is it exactly that scares you?
Don´t be afraid to go there. It´s ok. When you understand the underlying reason for your stress, you´ll see that it has its own logic. It will suddenly make sense to you, and this will help you to let it go.
Perhaps, too, you´ll discover that you don´t need to be stressed about that particular thing after all. That you don´t want to be stressed about it any more.
You might also discover solutions to the situation that´s causing you stress that you didn´t see before.
There are so many positive things that can come from dealing with the stress in our lives.
Keep repeating this process:
Seek lasting peace
When you get stressed, identify the factors that triggered it
Seek to understand the underlying reason for your stress – the underlying feeling
Use this understanding to eliminate the stress
The more you do this, the more you´ll be able to eliminate stress from your life and enjoy lasting peace.
