One of the most profound things I learnt on the inner journey that brought me back to my soul is that thinking and pure awareness are two separate things. We can’t think and be aware at the same time. We are either thinking, or in a state of pure awareness.
You may have noticed that the act of thinking and the experience of pure awareness are two very different things.
Thinking is of the mind. When we think, our thoughts move constantly between the positive and the negative, influencing how we feel at any given moment. Sometimes we feel good, at other times, not so good.
Pure awareness, on the other hand, is of the soul. It is our essence, our true nature. The experience is one of only awareness: that nothing else exists.
Pure awareness is constant, boundless, infinite.
It is beautiful, peaceful, powerful.
It is what we are.
